CosmoProf North America is being held July 29, 30, and 31 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. And for the fourth year running, the tradeshow organizers are hosting a pitch event for rising beauty brand alongside all the other exhibits and programming.
“CPNA has a long and steady reputation for providing truly one-of-a-kind programs that propel brands forward and is unique in its ability to attract major private equity groups,” notes Daniela Ciocan, marketing director at CosmoProf NA, in a media release announcing the 2018 pitch event.
“We used key insights from the debut BEAUTY PITCH 2015 competition to arrive at this year’s format which,” she explains, “is all about efficiently bringing truly qualified investors and target companies together for impactful opportunities.”
Business opportunity
For brand founders and entrepreneurs, Beauty Pitch Angels is not only a competition for investor funding but also a way to gauge where their business sits in the indie / niche beauty landscape. Applicants are asked to share financial and strategic details about their company; and as the media release emphasizes, “the entrepreneurs must be prepared to make a presentation to as many as six investors in the room at a time, and be willing to show their current sales, distribution model, market opportunities and intended use of funds.”
For investors, CosmoProf NA can serve as an educational space, showcasing what emerging beauty brands actually look like and what they can in fact become.
