The Belleza Y Salud event, one of the biggest for the beauty industry in the Latin American region, will take place next week in Bogota, Colombia, 3 – 7 of October.

The event has grown significantly in recent years, platforming the best in cosmetic brand product innovation from both the domestic market, the rest of Latin America and internationally.

Last year event organizer Coferias formed a partnership with Cosmoprof event organizer Bologna Fiere that has given the event an added boost, particularly with regards to make the event more of a regional and international diary date for beauty professional from all over the globe.

Cosmoprof collaboration aims at international expansion

Last year was the first time the two organizers worked together and the collaboration led to the expansion of the event into seventh hall at the Coferias event space in Bogota, which replicated many of the themes from the international Cosmoprof event portfolio.

The Cosmetics Design team will be attending the event, and will be bringing you comprehensive coverage of it, focusing on new brands, brand innovation, trends, video interviews with brand owners and experts, and much more.

Although the event has traditionally been a destination for both industry professionals and consumers, the aim is to make it into more of a B2B event, with a focus on platforming Colombian and Latin American brands.

Showcasing international exhibitors

But, that is not to say that the event will not also showcase brands outside of the Latin American region, as this year will include specific platforms for players from Turkey, UAE, China, South Korea, Brazil Italy, Spain and Germany, to name a few.

In 2017, the event attracted 348 exhibitors and 56,863 visitors – including 482 international visitors from 12 countries, but if plans to expand the event internationally and focus on beauty industry professionals to visit the event, it may well result in more exhibitor numbers, with fewer but more targeted visitors.

Seven main event themes include cosmetics, personal care, beauty salon, professional hair and barber, nails and accessories, fitness and nutrition supplies and the international event space, not to mention a comprehensive educational programme.
