Prom Peru makes its debut at Belleza Y Salud

The Peruvian goverment's Department of Manufacturing Diversity, Prom Peru, had a big stand on the show of this year's Belleza Y Salud event in Bogota, Colombia, This was the first time the organization had exhibited and we spoke to Melissa Vallebuona to find out more.

In this video interview we found about more about the process behind getting Prom Peru to attend the event and invite a select number of Peruvian brands to join the organization on its stand.

In recent years a growing number of high quality natural and organic Peruvian brands have been launched, many of which use ingredients sourced from the country.

Focus on natural ingredients

In this interview  Vallebuona explains that the extensive Peruvian biodiversity is slowly giving way to a growing number of unique or highly unusual ingredients that are helping to platform a number of emerging brands in the country.

The aim of Pro Peru at the Belleza Y Salud event was to platform a number of these brands, as well as highlighting the natural ingredients that the country has to offer from both the Amazon and the Andes.

The brands being platformed at the event came from four companies, all of which include natural ingredients sourced from the country.

Talking about the event, Vallebuona noted that Prom Peru had been very active, with a series of client meetings that should serve to give a boost to exports for Peruvian cosmetic and personal care brands.
