Late last week Green Growth Brands launched the ecommerce site ShopSeventhSense.com as well as the brand’s first stand-alone shop, in the Fayette Mall in Lexington, Kentucky.
“We created Seventh Sense Botanical Therapy products because when we looked for these types of products in the marketplace, there simply weren't any,” Green Growth Brands CEO Peter Horvath tells the press. “We wanted to create world-class products that were made with high-quality, hemp-derived CBD. We are proud to share them with our customers, and now we are making it easier for them to enhance their everyday self-care routine with our new online offering.”
“We have the most comprehensive assortment of CBD-infused personal care and beauty products of anyone in the CBD industry,” boasts Horvath. The Seventh Sense portfolio comprises body lotion, foot cream, hand cream, lip balm, muscle balm, deep relief cream, bath bombs, bath salts, body wash, and sugar scrubs—all in a range of scents; as well as facial oil, serum, moisturizer, eye cream, and night cream.
In-store retail strategy
Shortly after the 2018 Farm Bill was signed into law, Green Growth Brands partnered with DSW, the Ohio-based footwear retailer, to sell its products in DSW stores. A trial partnership executed in the fall of 2018 saw 74.4% of products sell in just 10 weeks, according to a media release. (Horvath worked as president of DSW in the early 2000s.)
“We have seen recent shifts in consumer behavior accelerate changes in the retail industry,” Roger Rawlins, CEO of DSW, says in the release. “North America's widespread adoption of the use of CBD products is one of the best examples of these shifts, and we could not be more excited about our partnership with Green Growth Brands and the introduction of their products to our customers.”
Beyond DSW, Seventh Sense opened a stand-alone shop in the Fayette Mall in Lexington, Kentucky, this month. The 200 square-foot shop caries the same products listed above and according to Horvath is just the first of many such mall locations.
“We have had an overwhelmingly positive response from the developers we are working with,” says Horvath. “Mall operators are focused on bringing fresh and exciting new offerings to their centers. The shop locations we are looking at, and many of which we have secured, are phenomenal in what malls they are in and their proximity to other retailers who drive significant traffic from the most desirable consumer segments.” And he adds that, “we will methodically roll out hundreds of shops across America in the very near future.”
CBD beauty online
The latest announcement from Green Growth Brands has the company adding ecommerce. Currently GGB is shipping Seventh Sense products to nearly 30 States (Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.) As State policies and regulations shift, the brand’s reach will increase.
“Sales through our digital channel are a huge component of our strategy,” Horvath tells the press. “Our digital presence is harmonious with our bricks and mortar strategy. The site expands our reach and will drive subsequent purchases for our customers who have shopped at our Seventh Sense shops or our assortment at DSW.”
