CEW’s inaugural Female Founders Awards is set to take place on Wednesday, March 20 at the Harmonie Club in New York City. And the event will be as much a celebration of the honorees as it will be an informative program, where attendees can learn from the experiences and success of top indie beauty brand leaders.
Insider view
The CEW event page describes the awards and panel discussion as an opportunity to “meet leading beauty entrepreneurs whose passion, leadership and innovation have helped shape the industry; [and to] hear about their unique business journeys and learn how these pathfinders successfully grew their indie brands.”
Amy Errett of Madison Reed, Gregg Renfrew of Beautycounter, Vicky Tsai of TATCHA, and Nancy Twine of Briogeo Hair Care will all be speaking at this year’s Female Founder Awards event.
In good company
Cosmetic Executive Women hosts both the well-known Achiever Awards as well as the sought-after Beauty Awards annually.
The Achiever Awards recognizes women leaders in the cosmetics and personal care industry. This year’s honorees will include Jadzia Tirsch, SVP of Shiseido Americas; Anastasia Soare or Anastasia Beverly Hills, and Artemis Patrick, CMO of Sephora, according to the CEW site.
The Beauty Awards highlight outstanding products in a breadth of cosmetics, personal care, and fragrance categories. The award include categories for indie brands. And this year, Beauty Awards will also be given to wellness brands, according to Lisa Klein, SVP of CEW, who mentioned the awards and the upcoming Demo Day (where award entrants showcase their products to the CEW membership) in her remarks at an unrelated CEW event held this week.
Both the Achiever Awards and the Beauty Awards are known and respected in and beyond the industry. The honorees of this year’s Female Founders Awards are in good company to be sure.
