“Anisa LA is another way to better support our partners,” company founder and CEO Anisa Telwar Kaicker tells the press. “In addition,” she says, “the West Coast is becoming an epicenter for the caliber of clean and emerging beauty brands we want to partner with. We believe our new studio in Santa Monica will continue to strengthen those relationships.”
The new Anisa International studio opens this month—a 1,400 square-foot space meant to inspire the next generation of brushes and foster the sort of innovation that makes brands distinctly different. “Building strong relationships and authentic collaboration is at the core of our organization,” affirms Telwar Kaicker.
Clean and sustainable
Anisa International is very much focused on the future of beauty: at the new studio “clients can experience Anisa’s latest launches and new technologies dedicated to sustainable brush manufacturing,” explains the company media release announcing the LA studio. And locating the studio in California allows Anisa to connect with forward-thinking and green beauty makers—including startups—in the progressive state.
The company makes not only makeup brushes but skin care tools, brush storage bags, and brush cleaning products (liquids, sprays, wipes, waterless options, and mats). The Anisa International team (90% of whom are women) manufactures products in Tianjin and Jinghai, China. Those facilities operate with a 100% closed-loop process, 100% LED lighting, the Jinghai site uses and 50% recycled water for anodization, and other sustainable practices—this according to the Anisa International site.
New and knowledgeable
The company is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, and has (since 2014) a studio in New York City. Now the new studio in LA will bring the company closer to its West Coast existing and prospective clients.
“The studio will be led by two industry veterans with a passion for West Coast beauty brands,” boasts a media release from Anisa Internatioal. Those beauty industry veterans are Cindy Chang, who will serve as senior vice president of business development, and Tamar Garabedian, as senior director of business development.
