The three-day event, held at the Sao Paulo Expo Center, closed its doors last week, on May 23rd, putting the seal on a busy event which organisers Nurnberg Messe are hoping will exceed visitor numbers for last year.
This year there were several important new additions to the show, and probably the most important was the expansion of the conference program, which was run in tandem with the event and organised by Brazilian industry association ABC.
One stop shop
The show floor essentially acted as a one stop shop for industry professionals this year, covering every aspect of the industry, with clearly defined areas dedicated to the different areas of the business.
The show floor had primary areas dedicated to raw materials, machinery and equipment, packaging, outsourcing and fragrance, as well as accessories and services.
There were also new addition to the show floor this year, including the Talk Science platform, which included a full program of dedicated speakers, all lifting the lid on scientific innovations that are serving to raise the bar for the industry's capabilities.

The Cosmetics Design editorial team was at the event and we managed to speak with some of the big movers and shakers of the cosmetics and personal world.
Look out for video interviews with Lauren Goodsitt, global beauty analyst at Mintel, who gave a presentation for the Talk Science platform at the event about fragrance innovation, as well as discussions with president of ABC and the president of Nurnberg Messe.

The Associação Brasileira de Cosmetologia (ABC) of Brazil made a big impact on the show floor, reflecting the fact that it serves as a hub for the industry in the country and throughout Latin America. Cosmetics Design conducted a video interview with Profa.Dra. Vânia Leite, President of ABC, so look out for that coming soon.
The Innovation Center hosted a full program of presentations to highlight some of the most far-reaching ideas and concepts the industry has to offer right now. The talks included leading industry experts from players such as Focus Quimica, Brenntag, Dinaco, Sarfam and Chemyunion.
This new addition to the show floor included a comprehensive line up of industry experts, all aiming to highlight the most innovative scientific innovations in the industry. Speakers in the program included players such as Mintel, Swan, Lola Cosmetics, Comschool, Factor-Kline and Dupont
Chilean fragrance and flavors house Cramer had a front line stand to highlight its expertise in the Latin American fragrance market. At the event the company was highlighting its latest development in the area of advanced fragrance encapsulation technology.
Amcor Flexibles is a major player in the Brazilian and Latin American cosmetic and personal care packaging market. At the event it was highlighting its extensive and latest technologies for capsules and closures, flexible packaging, cartons and bottles.
Brazilian packaging provider Wheaton was highlighting its latest market launches for fragrance bottles, platformed by a range of high end bottles with some very innovative and eye-catching shapes.
Ashland has recently launched a number of brand new ingredients on the market, which it was also platforming at FCE Cosmetique. Those launches included Optimage Microgel, Seastem Biofunctional, Suspratim Biofunctional and Chromohance 113 Polymer.
