Save Me From: the new brand, merging hair treatment products and a mental health mission
Founder and CEO April Peck describes the brand by saying, “Save Me From is a line of tip-to-root hair reboot products that are damage specific.” The core collection of 6 hair treatments includes Save Me From Pollution Assault, Save Me From Thermal Obsession, Save Me From Product Overload, etc. “Our [product] names are the negative,” Peck explains in her video interview with CosmeticsDesign.com editor Deanna Utroske, “but we’re giving you a positive.” So for instance, the Save Me From Thermal Obsession product repairs and protects hair from damage that can result from heat styling.
The full collection of hair treatment products are formulated to not only address a specific type of hair damage but also to help strengthen, add shine, and help with hair hydration and scalp nourishment. “My background is in skin care….One of the big things that I thought was missing in hair care was something that really focused on the scalp,” Peck tells Cosmetics Design in describing why scalp care is a incidental benefit of the Save Me From products.
What’s not secondary or incidental is the mental health mission of Peck’s new brand. “After losing my sister to suicide, I was determined to find a way to save others from suffering the same fate. I created Save Me From to advocate suicide prevention and personal empowerment,” she says in a quote featured on the Save Me From site.
