Taking place in Bogota at Coferias expo, 2 – 6 of October, this year’s event will feature a dedicated Nail Show, which will be situated on the 2nd level of Pavillion Eight, at what is now one of the biggest beauty and personal care events in Latin America, with 70,000 people expected to visit.
The line up for the Nail Show will include some of the leading nail art and nail care players from both Colombia and internationally, featuring players such as H la cosedora, Trafalgar, Meraki Life, Organic Nailes, Masglo, Cosmeitcos Belier, Cristal Up, Glam Station and Mia Secret.
Focus on nails stresses a diversified category
As the nail art category has taken off in Colombia, and also other countries in the Latin America region, the category has diversified with an increasing selection of not only nail varnish colors and finishes, but nail art designed to make nail creations even more personalized and unique.
In particular, nail stamping has taken off in the country in a big way, with companies such as H la Cosedora teaming up with some of the largest nail varnish suppliers to help fuel this consumer desire for more choice and more exciting finishes.
“Our fair covers many segments, so for this edition we saw the need to dedicate a commercial space, training and updating, to the nails, a category that today has countless services, products and novelties that go beyond the traditional nail polish,” said Marcela Sánchez, project manager of Belleza y Salud Fair.
Look out for ‘War of Brushes’
To celebrate the focus on nail care, the event will feature a ‘War of Brushes’ at the nail pavillion, a platform that will see some 144 nail art professionals face off to discover the best Nail Art Artist.
“To be crowned as Queen the aspirants will have to fight and win three battles. In each contest a theme will be chosen at random where participants will have between 15 and 75 minutes to paint a set of (3) three or five (5) false nails, demonstrating their talent before three jurors, who will deliver their verdicts eliminating one by one the participants until proclaiming the Queens,” said Sánchez.
“The inscriptions for “War of Brushes”, will be made through the fair's website and we hope that our participants not only live a unique experience, but learn and perfect their art .”
Look out for part two of this preview, which will also detail other features of the event, including the educational seminar and the Barber Life areas, as well as information about the continued co-operation with Cosmoprof.
