The sixth edition of the in-cosmetics Latin America event bought a raft of new products launches, highlighted big changes and saw some key new features to the show, some of which we have highlighted in this gallery.

This years show has come a long way from the first edition, which took place in a small event space in Sao Paulo's Brooklin district, back in 2014.

Back then it was small booths, many of which were tabletop. Now exhibitors are spending top dollar on sophisticated stand where they intend to meet clients and forge new business.

LATAM region has challenges but still plenty of innovation

Although there is some economic uncertainty in the region at the moment, particularly in Argentina and, to a lesser extent, in Brazil, cosmetics and personal care ingredients and formulation providers are still eyeing continued growth in the Latin American region.

Countries such as Chile, Mexico, Colombia and Uruguay are continuing to demonstrate stronger economic growth and this is being reflected in demand for a wide range of beauty products.

At this year's in-cosmetics Latin America event, some of the biggest players were showcasing their industry offerings to the region, which included an emphasis on hair care - always a winner in the Brazil market in particular, as well as other trends such as personalization, natural ingredients and preservatives.
