For your listening pleasure, here is a selection of 2019 podcast episodes that involve Cosmetics Design editors—including a newly launched podcast hosted by Amanda Lim, editor of CosmeticsDesign-Asia.com.
The Eco Well podcast focuses on green beauty science
The Eco Well podcast, hosted by cosmetic chemist and science communicator Jen Novakovich, launched in 2017 as a platform where ingredient makers, formulators, and other knowledgeable experts can share what they know about sustainable beauty with industry allies and curious consumers.
“The Eco Well [was] started,” writes Novakovich on the podcast’s about page, “to help make accurate information about cosmetics and sustainability in beauty, more accessible to everyone.”
This year Cosmetics Design editor Deanna Utroske was a guest on The Eco Well podcast twice: talking with Novakovich in May about past and future beauty industry trends, and again in September to discuss what successful indie beauty brand leaders do well.
Beauty is Your Business connects listeners with an array of industry insiders
MouthMedia Network produces the Beauty is Your Business podcast, bringing conversations with industry insiders from every corner of the cosmetics, fragrance, and personal care world to interested listeners every week.
This year, Cosmetics Design editor Deanna Utroske guest hosted at least 3 episodes of the Beauty is Your Business Podcast: In January, she co-hosted an episode featuring Danielle Alvarez, founder of the influencer marketing agency The Bonita Project.
More recently Utroske co-hosted an interview with Henri Tinchant, president of Asquan Group, and Stephane Thiollier, managing director at Pylote. And on this week’s episode of Beauty is Your Business, Utroske and Abby Wallach interview Sarah Jindal, Senior Innovation & Insights Analyst in Beauty & Personal Care at Mintel.
These later episodes were recorded on-location at the 2019 edition of MakeUp in New York. Read about the top 5 trends Cosmetics Design saw at that trade show here.
