Nearly 200 fragrance industry leaders, allies, and press were in attendance at the LVMH Magic Room in New York City for the 6th annual Notables awards celebration.
Opening the event, Fragrance Foundation President Linda Levy explained that the Foundation’s board includes a recognition committee that votes on each year’s nominees. This year, she said, the 9 honorees received unanimous approval from the committee.
She also reminded the room that Fragrance Foundation Notables are not simply one-time award winners, but in fact join the Foundation’s thinktank, advising on business development strategies as well as on Foundation initiatives for members and fragrance consumers.
The 2020 Fragrance Foundation Notables
Each Notable was introduced by an executive or senior colleague from their respective companies, which included fragrance houses like MANE, Firnemich, and IFF as well as brand and licensees like Coty and The Estée Lauder Companies.
Asha Talwar Coco, Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Givaudan described Notable “Alice Inchauspé, Digital Account Manager Sales and Business Development of Givaudan, [as] someone whose curiosity and competence she wants to keep beside her through her entire career,” as the Fragrance Foundation follow-up post recalls it.
And “Dora Gaffaney, Senior Director Global Marketing/Brand Development at Parlux, who finagled the notoriously difficult celebrity signoff on a fragrance in under five minutes, at the celebrity’s own birthday party, was lauded for her charisma and genuine kindness by Lori Singer [President at Parlux Fragrances].”

“This year’s theme for Fragrance Day is ingredients,” said Levy, adding that the Foundation will also host a Madison Avenue pop-up shop this year and that Fragrance Day banners will be hung along the avenue from 57th Street up to 86th Street here in New York City.
