Numerous cosmetics and personal care industry tradeshows and events have already been canceled or postponed in recent weeks. And the 2020 calendar seems to change everyday as the governments and companies make decisions based on the latest data and lived reality of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Yesterday, Cosmetics Design published this article outlining 19 ways the beauty industry is responding to CoronaVirus. And it includes several events updates and listings of new online events offering information, guidance, and networking opportunities.
These are just the latest industry events to be rescheduled:
Cosmoprof North America moves 2020 event to September
While many beauty industry events that were originally scheduled to take place in the next couple of months are moving to the summer months, Cosmoprof North America gave up it’s late June spot on the calendar and announced this week that CPNA 2020 will take place from September 20 – 22.
CPNA has not changed venues and will still be held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. As the Cosmoprof event site explains, “Given the unprecedented health situation the world is currently facing with COVID-19, event organizers BolognaFiere and the Professional Beauty Association have postponed the 18th edition of Cosmoprof North America to September 20-22, 2020.”
Luxe Pack New York has been rescheduled for July
The luxury packaging tradeshow had been on the calendar for early May but will now take place July 8 – 9 at the Javits Convention Center in New York City.
This year’s Luxe Pack New York show was also initially set to share a day with the NYSCC Suppliers’ Day and include cross-over event programing. “Unfortunately, with the new show dates, the “Cross-over Day” with New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists (NYSCC) Suppliers’ Day will not be possible and is now canceled,” announced the show organizers in a media release issued on Tuesday.
That release also states, “LUXE PACK would like to express their sincerest gratitude to all exhibitors, attendees, and partners for their continual support during this evolving time….Developments for the July event are in full effect. The LUXE PACK team looks forward to bringing the packaging industry together for a great and successful event on July 8th and 9th.”
NYSCC Suppliers’ Day will be a Fall event in 2020
This week, the NYSCC announced that its Suppliers’ Day tradeshow has been postponed from May 5 – 6 until September 30 – October 1. Like Luxe Pack New York the beauty ingredient tradeshow will be at the Javits Center in New York City.
In a short statement to the press, the NYSCC asks everyone affected to “Please know, the NYSCC Board and Suppliers’ Day team is committed to working even harder to deliver a high-quality, safe and relevant event in the Fall that the global ingredients and formulation industry deserves.”
