The B2B scent development company led by Miriam Vareldzis and known for supplying 100% natural fragrance with fully transparent ingredient lists, just added 5 new perfumery blending accords to its portfolio.

Miriam Vareldzis created Palette Naturals in 2017“for beauty entrepreneurs, formulators, natural-focused contract manufacturers, independent perfumers or anyone wanting immediate access to natural perfumery oils for use in diffusers, bath or small-scale formulation,” she tells Cosmetics Design, adding that, “Palette Naturals offers the building blocks of natural perfumery accompanied by a transparent ingredient list and no minimums.”

And while clean beauty is on the rise and shows no signs of losing momentum, it’s only recently that larger fragrance houses like Sozio have begun sharing transparent ingredient lists with their clients (and only on a select subset of the portfolio).

New spring / summer scents from Palette Naturals

The newest additions to the Palette Naturals collection, as Vareldzis describes them are:

  • Fruity A, a juicy peachy-apricot with hints of apple & pear
  • Soft Spearmint, a minty aromatic, with a sweet creamy drydown
  • Soft Floral, a dewy green sparkling Rose accord
  • Vanilla, a gourmand, classic vanilla, balsam peru blend
  • Botanical Musk, ambrette seed and guaiac wood create a soft animalic effect

And like all the Palette Naturals accords, these news “blends strictly comply with the ISO 9235 definition of aromatic natural raw materials. This includes the use of essential oils, absolutes, CO2 extractions, fractions, isolates, hydrosols, etc.,” explains Vareldzis.

The new additions are meant to complement the primary Palette Naturals collection of scents, which span a range of olfactive families: citrus, greens, florals, ambers, spices, and woods.

Clean fragrance is going mainstream

Palette Naturals accords can be used to create scented personal care as well as fine fragrance and other aromatic beauty and wellness products.

And clean is certainly moving into the mainstream perfumery space. In April, Coty announced that its new CK EVERYONE eau de toilette has earned a certificate from the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute, as Cosmetics Design reported.

And the brand’s own product page text boasts that: “This new scent is vegan, made from naturally derived alcohol and infused with ingredients from natural origins, making the Calvin Klein’s first ‘clean’ fragrance.”
