From 8am to 8pm PST on October 5, 2020, women, Black, Indigenous, and people of color beauty brand founders are invited to apply for new Rising Stars program.

This year’s Unfiltered Experience will be a series of three virtual events, giving cosmetics, personal care, and wellness brand leaders the opportunity to connect with retail buyers, influencers, and industry experts to learn and level up.

And now thanks to a partnership with Target Accelerators, as many as 20 emerging beauty brands will receive sponsorship to attend the Unfiltered Experience event series, mentorship, the chance to pitch Target buyers, and be considered for the 2021 cohort of the Target Takeoff Beauty accelerator.

Applications for Rising Stars will be open for one day only

This new partnership between Target Accelerators and Unfiltered Experience opens a small window of opportunity for women and so-called BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) beauty brand founders.

Applications will be accepted for one day only (October 5), and selected brands will be notified quickly, during the week of October 12.

As the Rising Stars announcement on targetaccelerators.com explains, “The Unfiltered Experience mission is to help emerging beauty brands bypass the increasing costs and complexities of beauty entrepreneurship.”

And this year, “Unfiltered Experience Online is a 3-part virtual event series that provides an alternative route to success. Each phase of the event has a specific focus allowing participants to dive deeper into different areas of their business.”

The Rising Stars partnership with Target is an extension of that mission. More information on the Unfiltered Experience – Target Accelerators partnership can be found here and interested beauty brand founders can apply here on Monday, October 5.
