Construction is underway at the new Lotus Project industrial development in Chandler, Arizona (near Kyrene Road and Loop 202). VB Cosmetics is on track to fully relocate its R&D, manufacturing, and company offices to the new site in April of 2021.
Chemist and inventor Dr Vivian Valenty developed a cleaner nail color system
Dr Vivian Valenty founded VB Cosmetics in Chandler, Arizona, in 1993 as a contract manufacturing business but has since transitioned to brand ownership with the launch of Dazzle Dry in 2007.
The four-step Dazzle Dry nail color system, Valenty developed, promises a long-lasting, quick-drying, non-toxic manicure. The brand’s products are formulated without endocrine-disrupting inputs, common allergens, or any of the following inputs of concern: toluene, formaldehyde, TPHP, nitrocellulose, camphor, formaldehyde resin, ethyl tosylamide, phthalates, xylene, and MEK.
Dazzle Dry is both a DTC nail brand and one that’s used by professional techs in 100s of spas and salons around the US.
Dazzle Dry nail system expands manufacturing facility and makes plans for new hires
The new 40,000 square-foot VB Cosmetics headquarters and manufacturing facility won’t be far from where the company is based now. In fact, the new site is just a few miles from the current site on S Bracken Lane in Chandler, Arizona.
“It was important for us to not only keep the company growing here in Arizona, but specifically in Chandler where it all started, the City is most welcoming and where we have so many personal roots,” explains Valenty in this week’s media release announcing VB Cosmetics’ relocation plans.
“The new building at the Lotus Project truly is a symbol of the next phase of VB Cosmetics,” she says, “one where our newly established and nurtured working community members can help each other be successful to create and enjoy opportunities and take the brand into the next level with manufacturing developments that will best serve both our local community and all customers nationally and globally equally.”
Beauty entrepreneurship bolsters local Arizona economy
The new facility will accommodate additional automated production and allow for the hire of some 70 new employees on top of the current 50 VB Cosmetics team members.
The Lotus Project, where VB Cosmetics will be headquartered next year is a four-building development meant for advanced manufacturing and light industrial tenets. Including the VB Cosmetics lease, the complex is 95% leased; and there are now plans to construct three additional buildings.
“The Lotus Project is the perfect fit for VB Cosmetics, and I’m confident that their business will thrive there,” Derek Buescher, Development Manager at Conor (the company behind the Lotus Project), tells the press, adding that “The development’s unique design matches VB Cosmetics’ innovative presence in the cosmetics industry.”
And Mayor of Chandler, Arizona, Kevin Hartke, is similarly pleased with the company’s decision to stay local and be a Lotus Project tenet: “VB Cosmetics is in a premier location for continued growth and success,” he says. “We are thrilled they found a new home in Chandler that will allow them to take their innovative cosmetics enterprise to the next level.”
