NYSCC is debuting their INDIE 360° track during Suppliers’ Day, November 10-11, at the Javits Center in New York City, featuring “insight, information and resources,” including talks from industry leaders on the world of independent beauty.
According to an NYSCC press release, the INDIE 360° track will approach independent beauty brands and markets from every angle. It will be accompanied by a dedicated pavilion showcasing a handful of brand’s final products.
“The INDIE 360° program at this year’s Suppliers’ Day is an exciting addition,” said Susanna Fernandes, NYSCC chair, in the press release. “It truly embodies our theme of ‘Embracing Beauty A Celebration What We Create’ with these pioneering entrepreneurs who are redefining the beauty and personal care landscape.”
The track will include a discussion with market research firm Mintel on “The Future of Colour Cosmetics,” consumer shifts to more digital lifestyles and hybridization of products, happening on Wednesday.

There will also be a round table discussion with brand founders, including Indie Lee of Indie Lee & Co, Jeanine Lobell of NEEN, and Dr. Robb Akridge of OPULUS Beauty Labs, on their journeys with inception, distribution, consumers and suppliers.
There will also be discussions on supply chain issues, by IBA and James MacPherson of Olaplex, and a roundtable on the use of stories around “buzzy ingredients” in connecting with consumers.
INDIE 360° will end with a People’s Choice Award, for which Suppliers’ Day attendees can vote for their favorite INDIE brand participant. The winner will be announced Thursday.
