Each Nourished x Neutrogena Skin360 SkinStacks is powered by the Neutrogena’s Skin360 digital skin assessment, which uses over 100,000 skin pixels to analyze over 2,000 facial attributes. The algorithm was developed using facial databases across ethnicities, skin types, and ages (from 7-70 years old).
From there, the data is used to identify and recommend a nutrient stack and topical routine for the individual user to help achieve their specific skin health goal. Once the order is placed, Nourished and Neutrogena get to work. Using proprietary 3D-printing technology by Nourished, the SkinStacks are printed by combining seven layers of ingredients into one vegan, sugar-free gummy stack.
“There are 14 different validated ingredients from vitamins, minerals, and superfoods and botanical actives that are available in the range in different combinations and different amounts. These ingredients are beneficial for a wide variety of different skin health goals and needs–things like protecting skin against oxidative stress like vitamin C, which is also a precursor to natural collagen production to things like CoQ10, which has been shown in the clinical data to be able to limit seasonal, deterioration of skin, supports elasticity and even reduces some signs of visible aging,” explained Melissa Snover, founder and CEO, Nourished.
While the Skin360 digital skin assessment doesn’t ask about gender, Neutrogena's director of marketing for the future of skin health team, Desiree Dowe, said that generally speaking, modern men are moving beyond simply taking protein powder and embracing beauty-from-within supplements.
“There was this data point from ‘22 that said 9.8 million men are taking beauty supplements and that's an increase of almost 30% year-over-year. So we definitely see men joining women in that endeavor of beauty supplements,” said Dowe.
