Provital’s latest subsidiary, Provital USA, is a key part of the company’s plan to ‘expand its global presence’ by focusing on the US and Canada as ‘strategic priorities’ with ‘tremendous growth opportunities.’

Cosmetic and personal beauty care ingredient supplier Provital announced last month it has launched a new subsidiary, Provital USA, which is dedicated to serving the US and Canadian markets. As noted by Provital CEO Ricard Armengol in a company press release regarding the announcement, “although we have been present in these markets for many years through our cherished former distributor, Centerchem; this marks a significant milestone in our journey, as we strive to bring our caring ethos and natural active ingredients directly to customers across the United States and Canada."

The move marks the first time that the company, which was initially founded in 1979 and first expanded internationally 30 years ago, has established its own subsidiary to serve industry companies in these locations.

About Provital ingredients

Currently, Provital maintains an extensive ingredient portfolio for cosmetic and personal beauty care product manufacturers for product formulations. This portfolio includes Careactives, which is described by the company website as “an invaluable range of natural active ingredients that explores new mechanisms of action - within vivo, in vitro, or ex vivo efficacy results - for skin care, overall well-being, and respect for our environment.” The range includes natural ingredient extracts like AGASCALM and AQUAXTREM for skin care and AMA-OIL, AMA-LEAF, and AMA-PROT for hair care.

Additionally, Provital offers the CareMotives range of natural extract ingredients for product formulations. This range includes OilyCares, which are derived from plant-based oils like sunflower oil or wheat oil for hair, body, and face products, as well EcoCares, which is the company’s “COSMOS-certified range of natural ingredients” that are “organic, paraben-free plant-based extracts,” according to the company website. The CareMotives range also includes the VitaCares, SparkCares, and ImagineCares collections for product formulations.

About the Provital USA subsidiary launch

The move comes as part of a strategic plan to expand the company’s global presence. As detailed on the Provital website, the company currently maintains operations in 114 countries through 46 distributors worldwide with “85% of total revenue from exports to approximately 90 countries operating through six commercial subsidiaries,” the press release said.

Though Provital already has a strong established presence in markets across South America in Brazil, Europe in France, Poland, and Germany, as well as in China, the company has a vested interest in enhancing its presence in the US as a “strategic priority” with “tremendous growth opportunities,” the release detailed. The aim for the newly established Provital USA subsidiary is to “cater to the evolving needs of consumers while maintaining our commitment to sustainability and product innovation,” the release continued.

While “the cosmetics industry faces an uncertain future,” Provital will remain proactive in its expansion efforts, the release further details. “The launch of Provital USA marks another step towards…achieving global outreach and signifies our dedication to expanding our footprint and sharing our values of caring and sustainability with customers worldwide.”
