In addition to a diverse offering of educational sessions and an engaging array of exhibitors across the show floor, this year’s NYSCC Suppliers’ Day conference will offer several special events, show staples, and activities to supplement attendees' networking experiences.

Beyond its reputation for showcasing the latest innovations and trends, this year's Suppliers’ Day conference promises an enriched experience with special events, engaging pavilions, and unique networking opportunities.

From the Inspiration Zone's cutting-edge innovations to the Indie 360° Pavilion spotlighting disruptive brands, and from University Row's educational offerings to the glitz of the NYSCC Awards Night, this preview delves into the highlights that make this year's Suppliers’ Day a not-to-be-missed event for industry professionals.

Inspiration Zone

The Inspiration Zone is one of the newest attendee attractions on the NYSCC Suppliers’ Day exhibit floor. Curated by global beauty industry insights platform BEAUTYSTREAMS, the exhibit aligns with this year’s theme: “Inspire. Innovate. Celebrate.”

The Inspiration Zone is a dedicated area of the Suppliers’ Day show that will feature dozens of new-to-market “breakthrough innovations from worldwide ingredients and formulations suppliers,” according to the NYSCC event website, and their inclusion in the exhibit was based on criteria focusing on their “sustainability and sourcing origin; substantive data detailing efficacy; and how the innovation is a ‘game changer’ in the beauty/personal care market.”

Indie 360° Pavilion

This year’s Indie 360° Pavilion will feature nearly 20 participant brands that “relied on innovative ingredients that are in demand by consumers,” as detailed on the NYSCC event website. These brands will “be featured along with supplier sponsors and accelerator programs that are driving indie expansion” across relevant industries.

In addition to the Pavilion exhibition, this year’s show also features the People’s Choice Award of Indie 360° participants, where Suppliers’ Day attendees can vote for the brand they feel is the biggest disruptor in beauty and personal care product development.

The People’s Choice Award of Indie 360° will be announced at 3:30 PM on May 2 at the Indie Pavilion.

University Row

For NYSCC Suppliers’ Day attendees searching for advanced programs or degrees to support industry career advancement, Aisle 500 of the show floor will offer opportunities to learn more. Past participants in University Row have included Fairleigh Dickinson University, FIT–State University of New York, Manhattan College, Northeastern University, and many other accredited programs.

Poster Presentations

“The education is not limited to meeting rooms and theaters at Suppliers’ Day,” according to the NYSCC event website. Peer-reviewed poster presentations will occur daily during the event between 10:30 AM and 12:00 PM and between 2:00 PM and 3:30 PM in the Poster Presentation Pavilion. Attendees can learn more about current industry research and innovations through the presentations.

NYSCC Awards Night: “The Future of Beauty”

On the evening of May 1, NYSCC members will host “The Future of Beauty” Awards Night at Lavan, Midtown NYC. As the event website details, “The eight finalists of the CEW Beauty Supplier’s Award – Ingredients & Formulations Category will be announced” during the event, described as a ‘MET Gala-like celebration.” This is a ticketed event with limited space, so register before attending.

SCC Career Fair

On May 2, between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM, the NYSCC will present the SCC Career Fair, designed to “showcase all of the paths one may choose in cosmetic chemistry/personal care product development.” This is a registration-only event and a must-attend for young professionals, industry veterans, and any attendee interested in broadening their career prospects within the beauty and personal care product industries.
