US cosmetics industry reacts to BSE

The outbreak of BSE in North America is prompting the cosmetics industry to introduce a host of measures designed at protecting consumers there - measures that have already been in place since 1989 in Europe. Simon Pitman reports.

Sun Chemical price increase hits packagers

Sun Chemical has increased the price of all packaging inks and coatings by three to seven per cent this month, blaming rising petrochemical costs that could affect the entire packaging industry for the next couple of years.
