Mary Kay pays its respects to Sharon Coburn

Cosmetics firm Mary Kay has paid its respects to Sharon Coburn after the executive senior sales director died following a long battle with cancer.

“She was just a great leader of people. I think people looked up to her because she was so enthusiastic and so passionate about things that they couldn’t help but to be inspired by her,” said Ray Patrick, president, Mary Kay Canada.

Coburn had been with the cosmetics company for 33 years and was also a founding member of Look Good, Feel Better, a charitable foundation of the Canadian Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association that helps women who are suffering from cancer improve their appearance and feel better about themselves.

A celebration of her life is being planned for Oct. 20 at 11 a.m. at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre in Owen Sound.
