Cosmetics and personal care label maker Precision Label Corp preps for expansion
Precision Label Corp has been in business since 1990. The company’s headquarters and production facility are currently located in Farmingdale, New Jersey.
In October, Precision announced the purchase of a building and land in Hauppauge, New York, some 100 miles away from the current facility.
Long Island
Precision paid $4.5m for the new Long Island real estate, according to Angelo Quagliata, the company’s vice president of sales, who posted an item about the deal on LinkedIn.
The new site comprises 2.14 acres of land and what’s described as a “long-vacant” 39,130-square-foot industrial building. The new building is more than double the size of the company’s current facility. And eventually, all 30 employees of Precision will relocate there. According to Quagliata, before that happens, Precision will spend another $1.5m to refurbish and modernize the newly purchased building.
The deal is all part “of a relocation and expansion of the family-owned company’s operations that’s been assisted by tax breaks from the Suffolk County Industrial Development Agency,” notes Quagliata, who goes on to mention that Precision has promised to add seven more jobs over the next two years.
Label land
Precision Label Corp specializes in manufacturing and printing labels with as many as ten colors. The company employs an array of processes, from digital and flexography to UV rotary screen and foil hot stamping, according to the Precision site. The label maker offers both permanent and removable label adhesive options as well as die cutting services.
In terms of graphic and decoration capabilities, Precision has its own artists on staff and regularly prepares sample proofs to help cosmetics and personal care brands choose the right label for the right look.
