Hallstar Beauty promotes Germano Coelho to President
Germano Coelho began his career in the ingredients business decades ago as an intern with Evonik. And he spent nearly 17 years with the company, leaving Evonik in early 2018 having spent his last 2 years with company as Commercial Director in North America. Before joining Hallstar, Coelho spent 2+ years as the Senior Vice President of Vantage Specialty Chemicals.
He joined Hallstar Beauty in May of 2020 as Vice President of Global Commercial Operations. And in the company’s recent media release about Coelho’s promotion to President, Hallstar Chairman and CEO John J. Paro explains that “In a relatively short time, [Coelho’s] motivational leadership style has energized the global team and strengthened the Beauty operation as a whole.”
“My fellow board members and I agree that Germano has accomplished many critical initiatives in his first year, despite the operational and management challenges of the ongoing pandemic, and that he has the financial and commercial acumen to lead our Beauty business,” says Paro, adding that, “Of equal importance, he has demonstrated clear commitment to Hallstar's values.”
Beauty ingredient maker Hallstar calls on Coelho to build trust in the marketplace
Besides the typical duties, as President of Hallstar Beauty, Coelho is tasked with maintaining or even expanding the company’s reputation in the global cosmetics and personal care industry marketplace: “His efforts at Hallstar Beauty will be focused on its core purpose and goal of being the trusted leader for safe, sustainable and innovative skin care solutions.”
And while he hasn’t yet commented on strategy or initiatives, Coelho is, of course, “very pleased to step into this role and to continue working closely with our customers and teammates.”
“Hallstar Beauty,” he says, “has enormous potential for continued commercial and innovative success, along with a talented, supportive global team. I'm honored to be on this journey with them.”
